I'm not sure about the specifics of especially Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia-


but the others were and are more aggressive than the US (with the type of authoritarian leadership to enforce) and have more experience with pandemics. People wear masks, are tracked, temperature screenings etc. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia probably has the experience but also less inherent mobility and connectivity than other countries. India is on a 21 day nationwide "complete" lockdown- public curfew, no transit etc. There may well be a weather component, but there are so many factors at play, and it does spread in extremely hot and humid climates at multiplicative rates even if a little slower potentially.
